Monique (Mo) Narboneta Zosa is an award-winning Los Angeles native graphic designer.

With over a decade of industry experience in design, Mo’s first big break into the publishing industry was via the world of comics with DC Comics. As a graphic designer and assistant art director, she designed books for the world’s greatest super heroes, super villains, and fans. She then took her experiences in Gotham and Metropolis to Insight Editions, expanding her publication design portfolio to the entire entertainment industry, which now covers various high-profile movies, tv shows, and video game IP.

She’s currently based in Tokyo continuing her adventure as a freelancer, working with WEBTOON Unscrolled and Insight Editions in the publishing space and entering the board game realm with DSS Games.

In 2022, Mo made her debut as a professional illustrator, after many years of hobby illustration, with her first credited book Oisishou!! The Ultimate Anime Dessert Cookbook. This gave her the opportunity to combine her love of anime, design, and illustration into one delicious publication. Her illustrations could also be seen in Insight Edition’s Street Fighter: The Official Street Food Cookbook, Naruto: The Unofficial Cookbook, and DC Comics’ Harley’s Little Black Book.

Outside of her professional interests, Mo’s current unprofessional interests include watching too much Youtube, and reading shojo manga. In the rare moments Monique and her husband aren’t playing video games, they are probably getting through episodes of various anime series they’ve picked up, spending time at a kissaten, or studying Japanese by watching copious and obsessive amounts of Pretty Cure (mostly Mo). She often wonders how she even gets any work done.
